Clinton defeats Monroe, other scores

Justin Langley scored 23 points to lead Clinton High School to a 48-36 victory Monday over visiting Monroe in nonconference boys basketball.


Langley sank four three-point baskets and scored nine points in the third quarter to give the Cougars (9-1) a 42-26 lead.


Alex Barenklau scored 16 points for the Cheesemakers (6-7). Aaron Roth chipped in with 10 points for Clinton.

Kyle Majewski had 16 points to lead the Elks, while Erikas Jurevicius added 16, Danny Dessent 12 and Arik Anderson 10.


Kenneth Walker scored 11 points to lead Big Foot (2-11), which committed 23 turn-overs in the first half.
