Cathy Lehmann is beginning to see her Janesville Parker High gymnastics team coming together.

The Vikings registered their first dual meet victory of the season, beating visiting Milton, 132.175-123.35 in a nonconference matchup Tuesday night.

“This was our best meet of the season,” Lehmann said. “It was a total team effort. The team is coming together well.”

Sophomores Hailey Leisten and Brecklyn Skaleski finished 1-2 in the all-around for the Vikings.

Leisten won the uneven bars (8.7) and balance beam (8.75) and finished in a first-place tie with Skaleski in the floor exercise (9.125) to help earn a 34.925 all-around score.

Skaleski finished second at 33.55.

Seniors Meridith Little and Caroline Mitchell also contributed several top-four finishes.

Jessica Alf led the Red Hawks. She won the vault (8.7) and was third in the all-around with a 30.40 combined score.

Parker returns to Big Eight Conference action Thursday with a home meet against Middleton.
