Blumer sparks Milton Red Hawks, Fort loses

Morgan Blumer put on another offensive clinic Thursday night for Milton’s girls basketball team.


The junior scored 26 points to lead the Red Hawks to a 60-55 win over Stoughton in a Badger South Conference game.


Milton (5-4, 2-1) took the lead for good in the third quarter and never looked back.


Tessa Mersberger had 15 points to lead Stoughton (2-6, 1-3).

-- Edgewood 46, Fort Atkinson 31—A short-handed Fort Atkinson team led by three after the first quarter, but then the Crusaders wore the Blackhawks down for the Badger Conference win.


Amanda Kelm hit two three-pointers in the final minutes of the first half to erase a one-point deficit and spark the Crusaders.


Emma Meriggioli and Molly Meriggioli each scored eight points to help the Crusaders go to 3-1 in the conference and 5-4 overall.


Kaitlyn Hollman led the Blackhawks (2-1, 7-2) with eight points.
