Janesville Craig grad Burns helps Warhawks win
WHITEWATER UW-Whitewater took charge in the second half to defeat visiting Edgewood College, 79-51, Wednesday in nonconference men’s basketball.
The Warhawks extended a 10-point, 36-26, halftime lead to 48-29 with a 12-3 run to open the second half.
Whitewater is 12-1 overall. Edgewood is 10-2.
Chris Davis scored 18 points and Janesville Craig graduate, Lucas Burns added 17 points. Luke Knoble and Quardell Young chipped in 11 points apiece for Whitewater.
Young had three steals, seven assists and did not commit a turnover.
Whitewater hosts UW-River Falls at 6 p.m. Saturday.
