Evansville hits FTs to beat Parkview, Elkhorn falls

Evansville took advantage at the foul line Monday to break free for a 68-55 victory over Orfordville Parkview in Rock Valley Conference crossover girls basketball.


The Blue Devils sank 18 of 22 free throws in the fourth quarter, including seven straight from Brielle Greenleaf.


Kayla Klitzman scored 12 of her 23 points in the fourth quarter for Evansville. Greenleaf finished with 20 points, and Mallorie Phalin added 12.


Molly Wellnitz scored 20 points to lead Parkview.

Trailing 35-28 after three, Fort Atkinson’s Lexie Weigand and Maddie Bare each hit two three-pointers in the fourth.


Emily Schahczinski led Elkhorn (10-11) with 15 points.
