Janesville Jets notch key victory

The Janesville Jets earned two valuable points Friday night.


After Janesville and Jamestown skated to a 1-1 tie through overtime, Connor McBride, Jordan Bancroft and Darren McCormick scored goals in the shootout to lift the Jets to a


2-1 NAHL win.


Janesville remains the NAHL Midwest Division leader with 67 points, while St. Louis is one point back with 66.


Bancroft power-play goal at 13:50 of the first period gave Janesville a 1-0 lead, but Jamestown answered at 16:57 of the first on Nick Bingsman’s goal.


Tony Kujava made 19 saves in picking up the win for the Jets.


Game two of the two-game series is tonight.
