A Fort Atkinson High girls basketball team at full strength is flexing its muscles in Badger South Conference play.

Just two nights after handing first-place Monona Grove its first loss of the season, the Blackhawks edged second-place Milton, 35-32, in the Red Hawks’ gym Thursday.

Senior guard Lexie Weigand, who just returned to the team, led the way with 17 points, including three three-point goals for Fort Atkinson. The Blackhawks made just 5 of 11 free throws in the final quarter, but it was enough to hold back the Red Hawks.

Morgan Blumer led Milton (12-6 overall, 7-3 league) with 12 points.

Fort Atkinson is 10-8, 4-4.
