Ferrell leads Edgerton to win, other scores

Brooke Ferrell scored 17 points to lead visiting Edgerton to a 51-48 victory over McFarland in a Rock Valley Conference girls basketball game Tuesday night.


Ferrell had five three-point goals to help the Crimson Tiede improve to 10-3 in the Rock Valley and 14-4 overall.


Megan Johnson had 15 points for Edgerton, which remains two games behind league-leading East Troy.


Maddie Hettinger had 17 points, and Stevie Winer added 12 for the Spartans (5-8, 6-13).

-- East Troy 67, Evansville 47—Brianna Gaspervich scored 24 points, and teammate Rachel Atchison added 19 as East Troy rolled to a victory and maintained the Rock Valley North lead.


The Trojans are 12-1 in the Rock Valley North and are tied with Whitewater for the lead.


Brielle Greenleaf led the Blue Devils (3-8, 5-13) with 19 points, including a 12-of-12 performance from the line.


Kayla Klitzman added 11 points.

Rock Valley South

Brodhead’s Amanda Pickel made four three-point baskets en route to a game-high 25 points Tuesday to pace the Rock Valley South leaders to a 63-44 victory over Walworth Big Foot.


The Cardinals gained an 18-7 advantage in the second quarter and pulled away to a 33-24 lead at the half. Brodhead rolled to a 47-32 lead after three quarters.


Taylor Douglas added 13 points for Brodhead. Big Foot’s Alyssa Lueck scored 10 points.

-- Clinton 56, Parkview 47—The Cougars gained a 19-4 advantage in the third quarter to take a 46-25 lead into the fourth quarter.


Parkview rallied to gain a 22-10 advantage, but it was too little, too late. Parkview’s Mikayla Strzok scored seven of her team-high 13 points in the fourth quarter.


Parkview falls to 2-15 overall and 2-15 in the Rock Valley South. Clinton improves to 13-6 and 9-4.


Megan Lantz scored a game-high 22 points for Clinton. Emily Harnack and Danielle Woodstock scored 10 points apiece for Parkview.
