Brodhead runs past Big Foot, other scores

Brodhead used a 20-2 run spanning the third and fourth quarters to pull away for a


71-54 Rock Valley Conference boys basketball victory over host Walworth Big Foot on Friday night.


Brodhead went to 9-4 in the Rock Valley South and 12-6 overall. The Chiefs fell to 2-11, 3-16.


The visiting Cardinals led, 37-25, at halftime, but Big Foot made a third-quarter charge that cut the lead to just a point, 44-43, late in the period.


The Cardinals then stepped on the gas and ran off a 20-2 surge that lasted into the fourth quarter.


Three Brodhead seniors led the scoring charge. Trent Jordan scored 24 points, Tate Harnack had 18 and Jesse DeLorme added 16.


The Cardinals made 25 of 41 free throws, while Big Foot made six of 11.


Bryan Colby led the Chiefs with 15 points, while Carter Hehr added 13.

Nik Ewelt scored 15 points, Adam Schluter had 11 and Brandon Doll added 10 as the Spartans improved to 11-2 in the Rock Valley North and


14-5 overall.


Sophomore Adam Converse led the Crimson Tide with 18 points. Edgerton is


5-8 in the conference and 6-13 overall.
