Blumer propels Milton, Monroe falls

Milton High’s girls basketball team kept its hopes alive Friday night for a Badger South Conference title.
Morgan Blumer scored 27 points, and the Red Hawks pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 66-50 Badger South win over Stoughton.
Milton (11-5, 7-2) led by one after three quarters but outscored Stoughton 21-6 in the fourth.
Sydney Harms added 15 points for Milton, while Tessa Mersberger led Stoughton with 20 points.

The Warriors (12-6) led
20-14 when the Cheesemakers missed a layup. Waunakee got the rebound and hit a three-pointer to end the first half and start its 18-0 surge.
Monroe (5-13) was held to six points in the second half.
