The store is at 3131 Milton Ave.

Mattress Firm offers an extensive selection of specialty mattresses from every leading national brand.

"We're pleased to bring Mattress Firm's leading brands and unmatched guarantees to Janesville," said Chuck Dawson, president of the company's Wisconsin franchise. "Our one-of-a-kind, streamlined shopping experience allows consumers to comparison shop between manufacturers, making it easier and more affordable to find the mattress that's right for you."

The new store is open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

Nationally headquartered in Houston, where the company's first store opened in 1986, Mattress Firm now operates more than 800 stores in 26 states.

It must be a "green" thing. The city planners take the green out of our pockets to fund low income jobs which are non manufacturing and comply with the green agenda. I suppose a mattress store will provide a lot of "mattress potatoes" with plenty of leisure, therefore, reducing the carbon dioxide emitted by human activity. Mattress firms could actually save the world and reduce the carbon footprint of every individual provided they hang up their bikes, turn off the heater, and embrace a vegan lifestyle. Perhaps, we could advertise Janesville as a true bedroom community? Being the "City of Parks" sounds nice but it doesn't seem to be attracting much in the way of good paying wages or tourism of any sort.

Another mattress store? Hmmm... I suppose we could always use another one- like we could use another Walgreen's.

Before you go there you get get a title loan and some tacos!
Why so many of these?
The unemployment rate is high so we need a bed to "not get out of"?

Great idea newswacko! Then super-size it and put it into the old Menard's building! The path of commercial development in Janesville is puzzling to say the least.

maybe we are missing a golden opportunity. If we were to combine a mattress store with a check cashing store and an auto parts store we would have all the bases covered.
