Lake Geneva Badger wins in overtime
Lana Wieseman scored 28 points, including five of her team’s eight points in overtime, to lead Lake Geneva Badger to a 64-62 victory over visiting Wilmot in a key Southern Lakes Conference girls basketball game Thursday night.
The visiting Panthers erased a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime tied at 56-all.
Then the 6-foot Wieseman hit a basket and three of four free throws in the overtime.
Karina Reeves scored the other three points in overtime and finished with 12 points.
The victory keeps Badger (7-2, 11-5 overall) in first place, one-half game ahead of Union Grove.
Wilmot falls to 5-3, 11-3.
