Leisten, Skaleski lead Janesville Parker to Big Eight win

— Janesville Parker High School posted its second-best score of the season Wednesday en route to defeating visiting Madison East/La Follette co-op, 132.90-113.40, in Big Eight Conference girls gymnastics.

Hailey Leisten won the vault (8.60) and the uneven bars (8.80). Teammate Brecklyn Skaleski won the balance beam (9.45) and the floor exercise (8.35). Leisten won the all-around with a 35.325 score.


“It was nice meet, the kids pulled together for their second-best score of the year,” Parker coach Cathy Lehmann said. “We had five competitors on balance beam and didn’t have a fall, which just doesn’t happen.’’


The Vikings host Elkhorn in a nonconference meet at 6 p.m. next Tuesday.
