Trewyn sparks Whitewater Whippet victory, other scores

Brooke Trewyn poured in 31 points, including an 11-of-14 performance from the line, to lead Whitewater to an 80-48 victory at Walworth Big Foot in Rock Valley Conference girls basketball action Tuesday night.

Trewyn hit 9 of 10 free throws in the second quarter when the Whippets outscored the Chiefs, 28-17, to take a 43-32 halftime lead.

Nicole Masterson added 10 points as the Whippets improved to 9-0 in the Rock Valley North, one game ahead of East Troy. The Whippets are 12-1 overall.

Jen Petkoff and Brittani Isham each had 12 points for the Chiefs (3-6 in the RVC South, 3-11 overall). Allyssa Lueck added seven points and nine rebounds, while Kayleigh Wedig had seven rebounds.

The Cougars improved to 5-4 in the Rock Valley South and 9-6 overall.

Mallory Niemann contributed 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Heather Buckler had 10 points and 16 rebounds for the Cougars.

No statistics were available for the Blue Devils, who fell to 2-6 in the RVC North and 4-10 overall.

Stevie Winer scored 21 points, including four three-pointers, to lead the Spartans. Maddie Hettinger added 17 points.

Caitlyn Rautsaw led the Panthers with 15 points, including three three-pointers. DaNae Giese added 10 points.

Emily Harnack had 12 points to lead Parkview (1-12, 1-8).
