Arrests
-- A 16-YEAR-OLD JANESVILLE BOY at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of South Crosby Avenue in Janesville was referred to juvenile authorities on charges of robbery and substantial battery. He is accused of taking a backpack from a teenager whom he knew.
-- JEREMY D. PRINKEY, 35, of 5726 Risum Road, Brodhead, at 11:43 p.m. Monday at 6219 S. Highway 51, No. 18, Janesville, on charges of recklessly endangering safety, disorderly conduct while armed and criminal damage to property. All three charges carry domestic violence enhancers. He also was arrested on suspicion of violating parole. A witness called 911 and reported Prinkey held a knife to a woman's throat. Prinkey also threatened to kill the witness.
Intoxicated driving arrests
-- TERRY D. MASON, 17, of 449 N. Pine St., Janesville, at 5:57 a.m. Aug. 22 on Plymouth Church Road west of County D in the town of Rock. Mason also was ticketed for operating after suspension.
-- JEFFREY A. KOEBERNICK, 34, of 2440 Mt. Vernon Ave., Janesville, at 2:43 a.m. Aug. 26 at Parker Drive and Black Bridge Road in Janesville.
-- AARON G. WEBER, 24, Lake Mills, at 3:51 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 43 north of mile marker 6 in the town of Clinton. Weber also was ticketed for driving the wrong way on a divided highway.
Accidents
-- COUNTY B AND AUSTIN ROAD, town of Janesville, at 6:40 p.m. Aug. 20. Ethan M. Hanson, 21, of 206 1/2 W. Beloit St., Orfordville, was driving east on County B toward Austin Road. He rear-ended a pickup truck driven by Richard E. Turner, 52, of 4823 W. Cemetery Road, Janesville. Turner was treated and released from St. Mary's Janesville Hospital. Hanson was ticketed for operating without insurance and inattentive driving.
-- 5319 BUSS ROAD, town of Turtle, at 2:11 p.m. Aug. 20. Judith A. Burn, 59, of 5319 E. Buss Road, Clinton, had parked her car on the lawn when the car's brakes failed. The car rolled over Burn's leg while rolling down a hill. Burn was transported to a local hospital with injuries, according to police reports, but her condition was not available.

-- OPERATING VEHICLE WITHOUT OWNER'S CONSENT reported at 1:31 p.m. Tuesday. A Janesville woman reported her 2001 Ford Escape had been stolen. According to reports, she told police her daughter took the vehicle without consent. The vehicle was recovered. No arrests were reported.
-- FRAUDULENT WRITING AND THEFT reported at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday. A Janesville man reported that he was "scammed" by someone in Florida during a transaction to sell property in Branson, Mo. The victim said he sent three payments via Western Union to the Florida parties with no reply.
Charged
-- LYDIA ORTEGA, 51, of 1724 Fayette Ave., Beloit, with felony possession of marijuana. She is accused of carrying marijuana in her purse on July 24 in the 100 block of Center Avenue in Janesville.
-- KRISTY L. TAYLOR, 22, of 2209 N. Pontiac Drive, Janesville, with forgery and theft. She is accused of taking checks from a Milton home and cashing one at a Janesville credit union in August.
-- FILEMON RAMOS, 33, of 743 Moore St., Beloit, with failure to report to jail. He was sentenced to report to jail by July 13 for charges of domestic abuse and battery.

Arrests
-- ROBERT M. WEST, 49, Brodhead, at 8:56 a.m. Tuesday on charges of disorderly conduct, battery, false imprisonment and intimidation of a witness. West was arrested after a domestic dispute in Brodhead.
