Snappers pound out win
BELOIT The Beloit Snappers pelted the visiting Wisconsin Timber Rattlers with 13 hits Tuesday to post a 10-4 rout in Midwest League baseball.
Nate Roberts had three hits, including a double and triple for Beloit. Teammate Eddie Rosario smacked a solo home run in the third inning and notched four RBIs.
Beloit starter Tyler Jones (3-4) allowed two runs on seven hits through five innings to take the victory. Reliever Steve Gruver blanked Wisconsin on one hit through two innings and Corey Kimes allowed two runs on two hits through the final two innings.
Wisconsin starter Eric Semmelhack (1-1), allowed six runs on 10 hits through four innings to absorb the loss.
The victory completed the Snappers' homestand. They will travel to take on Quad Cities tonight.
