Evansville boys cited in BB gun accident

EVANSVILLE Evansville police have cited two Evansville boys involved in a BB gun shooting after they initially reported the situation as a drive-by shooting, according to police reports.
According to police reports:
A 13-year-old boy who was accidentally shot in the eye July 18 was cited for obstructing an officer. He was treated at University Hospital, Madison.
A 15-year-old boy also was cited for obstructing and discharging a dangerous weapon in the city.
The boys initially told police they were in Lake Leota Park when a car with three men drove by and shot the boy in the eye. After police interviews, the 15-year-old admitted he accidentally shot the boy at a home.
