Beloit Snappers rip Bowling Green

BELOIT — The Beloit Snappers scored six runs in two innings en route to defeating the visiting Bowling Green Hot Rods, 9-3, Wednesday in Midwest League baseball.

Beloit scored three runs in the fifth inning to erase a 2-0 deficit. Adam Bryant ripped a two-run single to highlight the inning.

Beloit’s Adam Pettersen broke a 3-3 tie with a two-run double to highlight a three-run sixth to give the Snappers the lead for good at 6-3.

Jairo Rodriguez hit an RBI single and Wang-Wei Lin followed with a two-run double for the final margin of victor in the eighth.

Beloit starter Jason Wheeler (2-0) allowed just three runs in six innings for the victory.

The Snappers host the Hot Rods at 7 tonight.
