White Caps’ late home run helps sink Beloit Snappers

— Eugenio Suarez and the West Michigan White Caps rallied past the Beloit Snappers Sunday afternoon.

With the game tied at 3-3 in the bottom of the eighth, Suarez hit a three-run homer to lift the White Caps to a 6-3 Midwest League win.

Beloit took a 3-1 lead in the sixth on Eddie Rosario’s RBI single, but West Michigan cut the lead to one in the seventh before scoring four times in the eighth.

Ryan O’Rourke (0-1) suffered the loss for Beloit, allowing four runs on five hits in an inning of work.

Game two of the three-game series is tonight.
