Beloit Snappers can’t keep up with South Bend

— The Beloit Snappers lost a slugfest Thursday night.

Ender Inciarte had four hits, including three doubles, to lead the South Bend Silver Hawks to a 12-10 Midwest League win over the Snappers.

Beloit banged out 15 hits, including three from Daniel Ortiz, but could not overcome South Bend’s eight-run fourth inning.

Four Beloit pitchers surrendered 16 hits, while the teams combined for five errors.

Game two of the series is tonight.
