Sun Prairie routs Janesville Lacrosse Club

— Sun Prairie rode a fast start to a 16-6 victory over the Janesville Lacrosse Club at Optimist Park on Tuesday.

The Cardinals took a 6-1 lead after the first quarter and stretched their advantage to 10-1 before the Bluebirds got two goals late in the second quarter.

The halftime score of 10-3 was as close as Janesville would get.

Eric Monroe had four goals and an assist for Janesville. Taylor Stokes and Nick Krueger each scored a goal, and Brandon Coleman added an assist for the Bluebirds.

The Janesville JV Blue defeated the Sun Prairie JV, 5-4. The Janesville JV White defeated the Sauk Prairie JV, 10-0.

Janesville (0-3) is off until Friday when Middleton comes to town for a 5 p.m. game. The match was moved from Middleton to Janesville due a scheduling conflict in Middleton.
