Beloit, Clinton split series

— A season-long pattern continued Sunday for the Beloit Snappers.

In 10 games played this season, the Snappers have not won or lost two games in a row.

Beloit followed up Saturday night’s loss with 5-2 Midwest League win Sunday over the Clinton LumberKings. The teams split the four-game series.

Miguel Sano homered and drove in two runs for Beloit

(5-5), while Michael Tonkin pitched three 1-2-3 innings in relief to pick up the win. Corey Williams earned his third save with a scoreless ninth.

Beloit hosts Kane County in a three-game series beginning tonight at Pohlman Field.
