Madison Memorial swept past Janesville Parker, 7-0, in a Big Eight Conference boys tennis match Tuesday at Madison.

"We knew Memorial had experience and was one of the better teams coming back," said Parker coach Mike Fuhrmann. "We had some things that went very, very well for us, but we had other things that we have to keep practicing at. We're playing against some tough opponents and have to keep getting better.

Herschel Brodkey and Alberto Gutierrez-Larraya Sanchez gave their Spartan counterparts the toughest battle at No. 3 doubles. The Parker pair lost the first set, 7-5, and then fell 6-1 in the second.

Parker will host a quadrangular Friday afternoon at both the Palmer Park and Parker High courts. Opponents will be Beloit Memorial, Lake Geneva Badger and Fort Atkinson.
