Janesville Craig, Sugar River tie

Janesville Craig and Sugar River played to a 2-2 tie in nonconference girls soccer action at Craig on Thursday night.

Ina Pruzinskis and Monica Speth each scored for the Cougars (1-0-1).

Pruzinskis’ goal came on a free kick. Speth scored when Kate Heaps fed her the ball after a run up the left side. Speth drilled her kick from 18 yards away.

Maddie Schroeder made five saves for the Cougars.

Craig opens Big Eight play next Thursday at home against Madison West.
