Intoxicated driving arrests

-- JORDAN R. MCCOLLUM, 27, of 1420 Peterson Ave., Janesville, at 10:06 p.m. Saturday at Center Avenue and West Holmes Street, Janesville. It was reported as his second offense. He also was ticketed for unsafe lane deviation, operating after revocation/suspension and drinking intoxicants/inhaling nitrous oxide in vehicle while on the highway.


-- LAURIE A. KRUEGER, 52, of 5440 N. Eagle Road, Evansville, at 8:16 p.m. March 28 on Lapidary Lane at Tripp Road, Janesville. The arrest was listed as her second on an intoxicated driving charge.


-- CHESTER H. KOPKE JR., 59, of 509 1/2 W. Van Buren St., Janesville, at 10:32 p.m. March 28 on Highway 11 at Pahl Road, Janesville Township. The arrest was listed as his third intoxicated driving arrest.


-- DEBRA L. JAMES, 48, of 12938 W. Bullard Road, Evansville, at 11:15 p.m. March 28 on Highway 14 at Butts Corner Road, Union Township.

-- EXPOSING A MINOR TO HARMFUL MATERIAL reported at 11 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Arlington Court, Janesville. The material was reported to be inappropriate and of a sexual nature through computer interaction.


-- BURGLARY reported at 4:58 p.m. Monday in the 1000 block of Johnston Street, Janesville. Cash and video equipment valued at more than $200 was taken.


-- STRANGULATION/BATTERY reported at 9:28 p.m. Monday in the 3200 block of Berkshire Road, Janesville.


-- BURGLARY reported at 4:40 a.m. March 30 to a business in the 3900 block of North Polzin Road, Janesville. Reported stolen was $200.


-- BURGLARY reported at 9:16 a.m. March 27 to a home in the 200 block of Depot Street, Footville. Taken were two copper antique kettles with lids, a cast iron campfire pot, insulation, tools and a tool box valued at more than $650.


-- BURGLARY at 3:03 a.m. March 21 at Auto Spa Car Wash, 6 S. Pontiac Drive, Janesville. Reported stolen were a set of keys and 100 car wash tokens.


-- BURGLARY at 2:04 p.m. March 18 to a home in the 1900 block of South Chatham Street, Janesville. Nothing was reported stolen.


-- BURGLARY at 11:59 a.m. March 22 to a home in the 400 block of West Milwaukee Street, Janesville. Reported stolen were a wallet and Social Security cards.


Fires

-- SEMITRAILER TRUCK BRAKES, TIRE FIRE at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday in the westbound lane of Interstate 90/39 at mile marker 175. The Missouri driver extinguished the fire before Janesville firefighters arrived on scene but he suffered injuries when the tire exploded. He was taken to St. Maryís Janesville Hospital where he was treated and released.


Accidents

-- NORTHBOUND INTERSTATE 90/39 AT HIGHWAYS 12 AND 18 at 10:16 a.m. Tuesday in Dane County. Heather L. Outland, 36, Janesville, was merging into southbound Interstate traffic from Highway 12/18. Her car swerved, and her car and another vehicle entered the median. Outlandís Pontiac Grand Am continued into the northbound lane and struck a semitrailer truck driven by Eugene F. Gorsuch, 57, Everett, Pa. The collision dislodged the Grand Amís engine, which was struck by a northbound Chevrolet Suburban driven by Daniel J. Wade, 44, Roscoe, Ill. The semitrailer truck jackknifed and came to rest in a grassy area near Ho-Chunk Gaming, Madison. Two northbound lanes and a southbound lane were closed for 90 minutes. Outland, Wade and a 16-year-old passenger in Wadeís Suburban were transported to University Hospital, Madison, where they were treated and released. Everett was transported to St. Maryís Hospital, Madison, where he was treated and released.

-- DOUGLAS W. AXELSON, 26, of 801 1st Center Ave., Brodhead, at 5:37 p.m. March 21 in Brodhead on charges of felony abuse of a child and disorderly conduct.
