Elkhorn High got its title Tuesday night in Southern Lakes boys soccer.

Jonathan Stopple scored two of the Elks’ four second-half goals as they stopped Lake Geneva Badger, 4-0, in the semifinals of the conference tournament.

The game was played Westosha Central because of wet conditions on both of the participants’ fields.

Elkhorn improved to 8-0 in the conference and clinched the season championship, which is based on overall record. It is the Elks’ first title in the 23-year history of their boys program.

The top-seeded Elks, who are 16-2 for the season, host second-seeded Delavan-Darien in the tournament championship game on Thursday. The Comets (14-1-1, 6-1-1) advanced with a 2-1 win over Waterford.

Keith Baerwald gave Elkhorn a 1-0 lead over fourth-seeded Badger. Stopple, Jordan Kayser and Stopple again completed the Elks’ scoring.
