Janesville and Beloit are already pretty good at sharing, but they want to get better. Officials from both cities recently met to discuss ideas for working together. Kyle Geissler reports.
Tight budgets could mean more cooperation between Janesville and Beloit.
Beloit City Manager Larry Arft says the power of group purchasing could be used in areas not looked at before.
An example might include the possibility of getting bids for management of Janesville and Beloit's municipal golf courses.
The Friday meeting ended with a to-do list for staff members from both cities.
The Beloit and Janesville city councils are expected to hold a joint meeting later this fall.
