Antonio Cruz scored all three of Janesville Parker’s goals in a 3-3 tie with Antioch, Ill., in the Vikings’ second game of the Lake Geneva Badger Invitational boys soccer tournament on Saturday.

Parker (0-12-2) fell to Grant, Ill., 7-0, in its first game.

“We played four games in three days. We were very tired,” Parker coach Andy Holmes said. “I thought we played very well. We’ve gotten better every game.”

Holmes said he rested several of his starters in the first game.

In the second game, all six goals were scored in the second half by just two players—Cruz and Antioch’s Carson Moore.

“It seemed like it was a one-man show for each team, but it really wasn’t,” Holmes said. “Antonio was playing defense for most of the game. We moved him up front at about the 50th minute. Once he got up front, he started finding the back of the net.”

Parker plays at Craig at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The teams played to a 0-0 tie earlier this season.
