— A village of Walworth man was arrested this month for possessing child pornography after the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation and the village of Walworth Police Department searched his home last month, officials reported.

According to a news release from the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Alexander N. Pepper of Walworth was arrested Sept. 9, stemming from an Aug. 18 search of his home at 115 Weber St.

The search found evidence that a computer device at Pepper's house contained child pornography, according to a criminal complaint.

Pepper reportedly was not home during the search, but DCI special agents found Pepper on Sept. 9 sitting in a vehicle parked in the driveway at his home, according to the criminal complaint.

Pepper was arrested and taken to the Walworth County Jail. He was charged with one count of felony possession of child pornography.

The arrest was made in conjunction with the Wisconsin Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The Walworth County Sheriff's Office and the Williams Bay Police Department assisted.
