— Two charter schools in Beloit might consider merging.

The Roy Chapman Andrews Academy and Eclipse Charter School are both in the Eclipse Center. Principal Mark Dax says tight budgets might make a merger a reasonable option.

One of the schools focuses on project based education and the other focuses on online learning. Together they teach about 150 students.

The Roy Chapman Andrews Academy board met this week to discuss the possibility of a merger and agreed to start talking about it.
