Jefferson High won the battle of the undefeated Rock Valley football powers Friday night.

The Eagles rushed for four touchdowns en route to a 35-21 victory over host East Troy in a game matching 4-0 Rock Valley North teams.

Nate Keller scored on runs of 36 and 2 yards to give Jefferson a 14-0 halftime lead.

A 24-yard pass from Myles Olsen to Nate Dodge put East Troy within 14-7, but Jefferson regained control with a 3-yard pass from Dustin Moldenhauer to Esau Ramirez with 5:58 left in the third quarter.

Zeke Emerick added scoring runs covering 2 and 38 yards in the remaining time as Jefferson improved to 3-0 in the Rock and 5-0 overall.

Keller rushed 28 times for 199 yards and added a 46-yard pass reception. Emerick added 76 yards rushing.

Moldenhauer completed six of 10 passes for 122 yards.

D.J. Sweet scored two of East Troy’s touchdowns on runs of 1 and 2 yards. He finished with 109 yards on 23 carries. Dodge caught two passes for 46 yards.

East Troy is 2-1, 4-1.

n Evansville 42, Edgerton 20—Ryan Cashore fired five touchdown passes as Evansville (2-3, 1-2) cruised past visiting Edgerton (2-3, 1-2) for the Blue Devils’ first Rock Valley North victory.

Zachary Schneider caught three of those TD passes, including a 39-yard reception for the game’s first score. That ignited an outburst that saw Evansville score on its first four possessions.

Dalton Sendelbach had a 15-yard touchdown run, and Owen Schoenenberger caught a 31-yard scoring pass to complete Evansville’s surge to a 28-0 lead. Collin Gregory had a 3-yard touchdown run and threw a 12-yard scoring pass to Lucas Gregory as Edgerton pulled within 28-14 in the second quarter, but Schneider’s 56-yard reception put the Blue Devils up 35-14 by halftime.

Cashore completed nine of 12 passes overall for 169 yards, and Schneider had four receptions for 133 yards. Sendelbach rushed 23 times for 122 yards.

Peter Linsley scored on a 12-yard run in the fourth quarter and finished with 25 carries for all of Edgerton’s 174 yards on the ground.

n McFarland 31, Whitewater 7—David Arias rushed 33 times for 189 yards and two touchdowns as McFarland (3-2, 2-1) overcame a 7-0 deficit to defeat visiting Whitewater in the Rock Valley North.

The Whippets (1-4, 2) took their 7-0 lead on Bryan Edwards’ 1-yard run in the first quarter, but the Spartans controlled the action after that, scoring all their points in the first three periods.

Antwon Washington caught five passes for 88 yards, including touchdowns covering 13 and 34 yards.

Edwards finished with 76 yards on 23 carries, while Zach Miles added 56 yards on six carries.

n Big Foot 61, Clinton 12—The Chiefs ran their Rock Valley winning streak to 32 with the lopsided victory at Clinton.

Kenneth Walker had 100 yards rushing on only two carries and scored four touchdowns total.

Big Foot (5-0, 3-0), No. 2 in the AP state ratings for medium-sized schools, rushed for 284 yards. Clinton (0-5, 0-3) got 146 yards passing and two touchdowns from quarterback Aaron Roth.

n Brodhead/Juda 43, Parkview 6—Jesse DeLorme rushed for 208 yards and three touchdowns to lead Brodhead/Juda past host Orfordville Parkview in the Rock Valley South.

DeLorme had scoring runs of 7, 25 and 46 yards. Jaron Harding added touchdown runs of 9 and 17 yards and finished with 112 yards on 10 carries. The Cardinals (3-2, 2-1) finished with 406 yards rushing.

Parkview (2-3, 1-2) scored its only touchdown on a 13-yard pass from Trevor Aasen to Jameson Lavery.

Turner scored first on Zach Sherrod’s 45-yard run in the first quarter. The Panthers then ran off 38 unanswered points to take command.

Rapacz, who ran for 155 yards on 19 carries, scored on runs of 1 and 48 yards.

Sherrod finished with 109 yards on 21 carries for the Trojans.
