Tyrone Galvin rushed 14 times for 291 yards as visiting Madison East dominated Beloit Memorial, 42-14, in a Big Eight Conference football game Friday night.

Galvin was the main force, rushing for touchdowns covering 62, 49, 79 and 25 yards, and returning a punt 65 yards for another score. The Purgolders improved to 2-3.

Brock Chancey scored both Beloit touchdowns on runs of 4 and 3 yards. He finished with 111 yards on 25 carries, but the Purple Knights fell to 0-5.

n Verona 41, Middleton 20—In a battle of unbeatens, the visiting Wildcats rushed for 391 yards in the convincing Big Eight victory at Middleton.

Verona (5-0) fell behind 7-0 in the first quarter but scored the next 34 points to take control.

Dom Wise had 171 yards rushing for the Wildcats, while Tyler Parker added 123.

Middleton (4-1) got 185 yards passing from A.J. Redders, including a 4-yard TD pass to Tyler Krause that gave the Cardinals their early lead.
