Jets win 2nd straight
BLAINE, MINN. The NAHL's Showcase Classic is giving the Janesville Jets a chance to showcase Tony Kujava.
The second-year goalie stopped 28 of 29 shots Thursday to lead Janesville to a 2-1 win over the Kalamazoo K-Wings.
Janesville is 2-0 at the Showcase Classic, thanks in large part to the play of Kujava. The Hartland Arrowhead High School graduate has allowed only one goal in two games.
Janesville took the lead for good against Kalamazoo on Chris Cattivera's unassisted goal at 6:21 of the third period. Pijus Rulevicius made it 2-0 on a power play goal at 10:06.
The Jets play the Odessa Jackalopes at 10:15 this morning.
