A Janesville elementary school is honored with prestigious national award
Janesville Superintendent of Schools Karen Schulte is very pleased Kennedy Elementary has been named a 2011 National Blue Ribbon School.
The U.S. Department of Education named 304 schools this year. Schulte says the award recognizes schools with both high accademic acheivement and a large number of students living in poverty.
Kennedy Elementary Building Coordinator Allison DeGraaf credits the staff's steadfast commitment to inspire students' desire for learning through dynamic, engaging, and innovative instruction.
