Officials look for source of deadly E. coli outbreak in Green County

One person has died and eight others have fallen ill in an E. coli outbreak in Green County.

State health officials say they're still working to pinpoint the source of the outbreak. The infections surfaced between mid-August and early September.

State officials say some of the infected are from the same household, but they declined to elaborate.

Preventative measures include washing your hands, especially after coming into contact with cattle or manure, and avoiding the consumption of raw or undercooked meat.
