— Janesville Parker High School won the Big Eight Conference girls golf regular-season title Wednesday with a split at Tumbledown Golf Course.

The Vikings posted a 374 to defeat Janesville Craig’s 470, but Verona won the meet with a 370 to quash Parker’s quest for an undefeated conference season. Parker finished 8-1, and Verona followed at 7-2.

“We had the best dual-meet record,” Parker coach Mary Ross said. “I’m proud of the girls and the work they’ve done for the program.’’

Maggie O’Leary carded a 90 and Taylor Utzig added a 91 to lead the Vikings. Micayla Richards posted a 95 and Taylor Wyss carded a 98.
