Bladorn takes early lead in Janesville tournament

— Dale Bladorn is in control after the first day of the Janesville Men’s Super Senior golf tournament.

Playing in the Championship Flight of the 60-69 age group, Bladorn fired a 1-over par 73 at Riverside to take a three-shot lead heading into today’s final round. Mike Reid and Keith Holden are three shots back after opening with 76s.

Jan Hoffman, who has won a record nine Janesville city titles, and Richard Moore lead the 70-and-over age group after opening-round 82s. Ron Olsen, Ray Hallett and Bob Regan are four shots back.

Jim Arneson and Rich Foss share the lead in the First Flight of the 60-69, while Jack Tiffany leads the 70-and-over First Flight.
