Janesville Parker, Craig fall in volleyball

Janesville Parker High School lost a five-game struggle Tuesday at Beloit Memorial, 3-2, in Big Eight Conference volleyball.


The Vikings lost the opener, 25-21, but bounced back with 26-24 and 25-17 victories only to lost the fourth game, 25-19, and the rubber game, 20-18.


“It’s frustrating to come so close,” Parker coach Dave Lehmann said.

Craig (10-8, 0-3) fell behind early in all three games and could not recover.


“We started slow and tried to battle back, but we made too many mistakes,” Craig coach Blake Budrow said.
