Janesville Craig’s girls swim team continues to make a big splash this season.

The Cougars, who are 3-0 in the Big Eight Conference, won the eight-team Red Raider Invitational on Saturday.

Craig finished with 369 points, while the co-op team of Waukesha North/Kettle Moraine was second with 339.

“It was a very good day for us,” Craig coach Brian Kitzman said. “It has been a long, long time, probably more than 10 years, since a Craig team has won an invitational.

“Today’s meet scored the top 16 places, and that’s where our depth paid off. We scored points in every event.”

Kali Schneider won the 500 freestyle for the Cougars, while the 200 freestyle relay team of Sierra Rhodes, Schneider, Jessica Washington and Ashley Fry won in 1:48.80.
