— A Thursday crash that left a Milton man dead near the Rock-Walworth county line remained under investigation Friday by Walworth County Sheriff’s Office.

At 3:43 p.m. Thursday, a 1991 Ford Fiesta driven by Francisco D. Tinoco-Gonzalez, 22, Milton, was traveling west on Highway 14 when a Ford F-350 pickup truck driven by Kelly K. Reed, 50, of Milton, pulled away from the stop sign at County Line Road and turned east, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

The Ford Fiesta collided with the driver’s door of the truck.

Reed had no apparent injuries.

The Walworth County coroner pronounced Tinoco-Gonzalez dead at scene.

The Gazette was not able to reach sheriff’s officials for comment.

The news release does not indicate that any citations were issued or arrests made, but the Walworth County District Attorney will review the case when the investigation is complete.
