Janesville Parker golfers move to 6-0 in Big Eight

Janesville’s Parker’s girls golf team moved a step closer to a Big Eight Conference dual meet title Thursday.

The Vikings improved to 6-0 in the conference with wins over Madison La Follette and Madison East at Monona Golf Course. Parker, led by Micayla Richards’ 46, finished with a 191 total.

“We played alright, but we didn’t adjust to the greens very well,” Parker coach Mary Ross said. “We hung in there, though.

“We’re looking forward to the Spartan/Cardinal Invitational on Saturday. There will be some pretty good teams playing there.”

Maggie O’Leary added a 47 for Parker and Lindsay Ahrens added a 48.
