Janesville Craig’s boys soccer team came up short Thursday in a nonconference game at Fort Atkinson.

Martin Moguel scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Blackhawks to a 3-2 win.

Craig High (3-6-1) got two late goals from Matt Haen, but it was not enough to overcome a 3-0 deficit.

“We keep talking about not starting slowly, but that’s exactly what happened again tonight,” Craig coach Charles Friedrich said. “They score five minutes in, and we’re playing from behind all game again.

“Matt put us on his shoulders like a captain should and carried us at the end, but we couldn’t get it tied the last seven minutes.”

Craig hosts a quadrangular on Saturday that includes DeForest, Green Bay East and Delavan-Darien.
