Janesville Parker’s doubles team remains unbeaten
JANESVILLE — Janesville Parker High School’s Maddie Theisen and Kristin Zeilinger completed a doubles trifecta Wednesday in Big Eight Conference girls tennis.
The Vikings suffered a 6-1 defeat to the visiting Middleton Cardinals, but Theisen-Zeilinger posted a two-set victory over Darcy Hogendorn and Lindsey Heidel.
“Theisen and Zeilinger have defeated the three top doubles teams in the conference,” Parker coach Justin Long said. “East, West and Middleton have the best teams.’’
The victory lifted Theisen-Zeilinger to 6-0 in the Big Eight and 15-0 overall. The Vikings fell to 1-5 in Big Eight dual meets.
Parker hosts Sun Prairie at 4 p.m. today.
