Janesville man hurt when vehicle rolls
JANESVILLE A rural Janesville man was hospitalized after he tried to shift his car in park from outside the vehicle.
Lloyd Gahart Jr., 85, of 638 Emerald Grove Road in Bradford Township, had exited the car at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 30 when he realized he hadn’t shifted into park. As he reached in, the door knocked him down, according to police reports.
The car came to rest when it struck a flatbed trailer.
A responding Rock County Sheriff’s Office deputy found Gahart lying in the driveway. Gahart was transported to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville, where he was listed in fair condition Tuesday.
