Janesville Craig splits Big Eight duals
JANESVILLE Janesville Craig’s girls golf team split a pair of Big Eight Conference dual meets at Riverside on Tuesday.
The Cougars defeated Beloit Memorial, 417 to 422, but lost to Sun Prairie, 353 to 417.
Junior Ashley Hermanns had a 90, including a 38 on the front nine, to lead Craig (2-2).
“We started on the back nine. After a a tough couple of holes to begin, we turned it around and played decent golf as a team,” Craig coach Dominic Wiegel said. “Ashley had a real nice front nine and has potential. She justs needs to work on the consistency in her game.”
Craig will play in the Spartan/Cardinal Invitational at Middleton on Saturday.
