Beloit Snappers fall in finale

BELOIT — The Beloit Snappers closed out their 30th Midwest League baseball season Monday with an 11-0 loss to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.

The Snappers were held to two hits. The Timber Rattlers, the Milwaukee Brewers’ Class A affiliate, pounded out 13 hits.

Wisconsin scored eight runs with two outs in the seventh inning on a triple, two doubles, five singles, a walk and an error to take a 9-0 lead.

Beloit starter B.J. Achter

(5-8) took the loss, allowing one run on three hits through five innings. Four Wisconsin pitchers combined for 13 strikeouts.
