— The City of Beloit is again buying tax foreclosure properties in the city for revitalization efforts, but this year there are too many foreclosure properties to buy all of them.

Beloit Community Development Director Julie Christiansen says the city is buying a total of 10 properties with different sources of money. The city received federal dollars for revitalization this year.

The city typically buys all the tax foreclosure properties each year, but there are too many this year.

Once the city buys the properties it fixes or demolishes them.

The city council will review the list of properties to be purchased at its September 19th meeting.
