Anti-tobacco group may be saved by federal grant
Rock County Youth2Youth will be expanding the scope of its mission.
Director Deb Fischer was concerned about the future of the program after an 80% cut in state funding over the last few years. Now the group can expect $125,000 a year for five years from the new Drug Free Communities Support Program.
Fischer says efforts will now include battling underage drinking, teen marijuana use, and prescription drug misuse.
