Peoria, Ill., woman dies in I-90 crash

— Marilyn J. Losby, 78, of Peoria, Ill., died Thursday night in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 90/39 at milepost 178 in Rock County, near Janesville, according to a Wisconsin State Patrol news release.

Losby was driving north on the Interstate about midnight when her 2007 Lexus left the road, crossed the median and entered southbound traffic. Losby’s vehicle then was hit by a semi tractor-trailer driven by Mohamed Enow Edin, 31, of Kent, Wash., the release said.

Rock County Coroner Jenifer Keach pronounced Losby dead at the scene. Losby was wearing a seatbelt, according to the release. Edin also was wearing his seatbelt and was not hurt, the release said.

The state patrol continues to investigate the crash.
