Verona routs Beloit to complete unbeaten regular season

Verona High celebrated its fourth straight Big Eight Conference football title with a dominating performance at Beloit Memorial on Friday night.


Dom Wise scored on runs of 25, 8 and 58 yards as the Wildcats completed a 9-0 run through the Big Eight with a 62-0 victory.


Verona led 56-0 at halftime.


The Wildcats rushed for 411 yards as both Wise and Tyler Parker both completed the regular season with more than 1,000 yards rushing. Parker scored on runs of 69 and 27 yards.


The Purple Knights finished 0-9.

The loss cost the Spartans (4-5) a WIAA playoff bid.

The Cardinals finished 7-2 in the Big Eight, while the Regents finished 1-8.
